Taner Dursun
Lab Manager, Blockchain Solution Architect
He received his undergraduate degree from Istanbul Technical University, Control and Computer Engineering Department in 1994. After receiving his Master's degree from the same department, he carried out his PhD under the title of Policy-Based Management of Decentralized and High Performance Computing Systems. Since 1998, he has been working at TÜBITAK BILGEM (Information and Information Security Advanced Technologies Research Center) in various national-scale R&D projects, including Information Security, Cryptology, Distributed Systems, High Performance Computing Systems, Security Management Systems, Software Engineering, developer, analyst, system Worked as an engineer and project manager. He is currently the Director of TÜBITAK BILGEM Blockchain Research Laboratory, where he has started working since 2018, in the role of Senior Chief Researcher. Current study topics include blockchain technology, blockchain governance, digital currencies, blockchain architectures, blockchain security, decentralized identity management systems, and digital asset storage.
Dr. Mustafa Takaoglu
Laboratory Management Assistant, Blockchain Specialist
He received his undergraduate degree from Istanbul Aydın University Computer Engineering Department in 2014. He received his master's degree from Istanbul Aydın University, Department of Computer Engineering in 2016, under the thesis title "A Comparison of Several Data Sets and Clustering Algorithms on WEKA and MATLAB". He received his PhD degree from Istanbul Aydın University, Department of Computer Engineering in 2022, under the thesis title "High Security Information Exchange Algorithm Based on Blockchain Technology, Using Encryption and Steganography Techniques". He worked as an academician at Istanbul Aydın University Engineering Faculty Computer Engineering Department between 2019-2022, worked as the manager of IAU Blockchain Application and Research Center between 2020-2022 and held many international conferences and webinars. His research interests include data science, data security and blockchain technology. As of 2022, he has been working as a Blockchain Specialist at TÜBİTAK BILGEM Blockchain Research Laboratory.
Hasan Er
Technical Leader, Solution Architect
He received his undergraduate degree from Uludag University Electronics Engineering Department in 1997. Since 1997, he has been working as a developer, analyst, system engineer and consultant in various Nationwide R&D projects, including Information Security, Cryptology, Distributed Systems, Security Management Systems, Embedded Software, Software Engineering, at TUBITAK BILGEM (Information and Information Security Advanced Technologies Research Center). Worked as a technical leader. He is still working at TUBITAK BILGEM Blockchain Research Laboratory as a Senior Chief Researcher. Current study topics include blockchain technology, digital currencies, smart contract and decentralized applications, and next-generation decentralized identity management systems.
Burcin Bozkurt Gunay
Technical Leader, Solution Architect
He received his BS degree in Computer Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2000 and his MS degree in 2003 on the determination of the position of proteins in the cell with SVM machine learning. In 2021, he started his doctoral studies on Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning at Koç University Computer Engineering Department. He worked as a Software Engineer at MilSOFT A.Ş between 2000 - 2003. Crypto Devices Management Center Applications, eIdentity Technologies, MobiI-ID and Federated ID Technologies, Hyperledger Indy compatible ID Technologies, eSENS conducted within the EU Horizon program, FutureTrust at TUBITAK BILGEM (Information and Information Security Advanced Technologies Research Center) between 2003 - 2021 , LIGHTest, etc. He worked as a system engineer, developer, software architect, technical work package manager and project manager in the fields of eIDAS Secure Services developed within the scope of European Union Projects. He was the manager of the Technical Process Management Group for the determination of BILGEM software development methodologies and preparation for CMMI Level-3 certification. He worked as Principal Cloud Storage Developer at Turkcell Technology company between 2021 - 2022. Currently, he is the Chief Specialist Researcher, leading the projects in the TÜBITAK BILGEM Blockchain Research Laboratory. Current topics of study include agile software development, blockchain technology, digital currencies and next-generation decentralized identity management systems.

Nevzat Özcandan completed his BA in Computer Engineering from Yeditepe University and his MA in Computer Engineering from Marmara University in 2022. In Java, C/C++, Javascript programming languages; He is an expert in Blockchain Technologies, Cryptology, Backend-Frontend, Docker.
Abdulhamit Kumru

Abdulhamit Kumru completed his undergraduate education at Kocaeli University Computer Engineering Department in 2021. He started to work as a Candidate Researcher at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM in 2020. He started working as a Researcher in 2021. His research interests and areas of interest are Software Development, Linux & Unix, Distributed Systems, Cryptology, Cloud Technologies, Blockchain and Open Source Software.

Caner Emeç completed his undergraduate studies at Yıldız Technical University Mechatronics Department in 2019 and Computer Engineering Department in 2021. He started to work as a candidate researcher at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM since 2020, and started to work as a researcher in 2021. His research interests include blockchain technologies (Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum, Avalanche, Cosmos), inter-blockchain communication and consensus algorithms.

After graduating from Karadeniz Technical University Computer Engineering Department in 2020, he started his master's education at Yıldız Technical University Computer Engineering Department. As of 2021, he started to work as a researcher at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Blockchain Research Laboratory. Blockchain technologies are engaged in research and development studies. Active work topics include smart contracts and Hyperledger Fabric-based systems.
Ali Dogan
Researcher, Cryptology Specialist
Ali Doğan completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Mathematics at Middle East Technical University in 2021. After his graduation, he started to work as a researcher at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM. He continues his postgraduate education at Istanbul Technical University Information Security and Cryptography Program. His research interests are on blockchain privacy enhancing technologies, crypto algorithm analysis and homomorphic encryption.
Dr. Muhammed Yildiz

He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering at Bilkent University. He completed his graduate studies at Gebze University of Technology. He completed his doctorate in Sabancı University Computer Engineering Department in 2016. His doctoral studies focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning and biometrics. He continues his activities as Technical Leader and software development in Tübitak E-ID group. He carried out System Engineering, Software Development and Testing activities in Republic of Turkey Identity Card, New Generation Passport, TRNC Identity Card and many H2020 European Union Projects. Within the scope of Tübitak E-ID Digital ID studies, it carries out the activities of developing and maintaining the TÜBİTAK DID SDK. In Java, Rust, C/C++, Javascript programming languages; He is an expert in Linux/MacOS, Devops, Cryptology, Backend-Frontend, Docker, Cloud, Terraform.
Sibel Kurt Collective
Researcher, Cryptology Specialist
He received his undergraduate degree from Hacettepe OFMA Department of Mathematics in 2015. Then, she started her graduate studies at Hacettepe University, Department of Mathematics, and in 2017, she wrote her thesis called "γ-Butson-Hadamard Matrices and Their Cryptographic Applications" in which algebraic number fields, almost perfect sequences, hadamard matrices and cryptographic functions are used. He started his doctorate education in the same university in 2017, and continues to work on the error correction codes in the zero knowledge proof protocols and the features of these code families as a thesis work. He started to work in TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Blockchain Research Laboratory in 2022. He continues his research and development studies on blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, zero-knowledge proofs.

He completed his undergraduate degree at Istanbul Medipol University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2022. He has been working as a Researcher at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Blockchain Research Laboratory since 2022. Actively working on Smart Contract development, off-chain data transfer of contracts and decentralized oracle networks.
Dr. Mehmet Emin Gonen

Mehmet Emin Gonen completed his undergraduate degree at Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics. He received his master's degree from Bahçeşehir University, Department of Applied Mathematics. He completed his doctorate in Gebze Technical University, Department of Mathematics in 2022. He completed his PhD work on elliptic curve cryptography and isogene-based post quantum cryptographic algorithms. He continues to work at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM as Chief Researcher and Department Head. He took part in the design of cryptographic algorithms and protocols in many projects in the field of information security and cryptology within BİLGEM. His current research interests are zero-knowledge proofs, privacy-based cryptographic protocols, blockchain security, and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms.

Ümit Aygül completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Mathematics at Middle East Technical University in 2019. After graduation, he has been working as a researcher at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM for about 3 years. He continues his master's degree in the Department of Cryptography, Institute of Applied Mathematics, Middle East Technical University. His research interests are on the analysis of symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic structures, analysis methods of cryptographic algorithms resistant to quantum computing, zero knowledge proof and blockchain technologies.
Fatih Demirbaş

He received his undergraduate degree from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics in 2011. During 2011-2013, she continued her graduate studies on Game Theory at Koç University, Department of Economics; He graduated with a thesis named "knowledge in negotiations and speaking order". After his graduate studies, which he started after meeting with Cryptology and Blockchain; He graduated from Marmara University Information Security Engineering Department in 2021. In his master's work, he focused on symmetric encryption algorithms and crypto analysis and graduated with the thesis study "Development of integral analysis applied to block encryption algorithms". He works as a Senior Researcher at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM. Since 2018, he has been involved in the design of cryptographic algorithms and protocols in many projects within BİLGEM. He continues his research on privacy-based cryptographic protocols, zero-knowledge proofs, blockchain security, design and analysis of symmetric cryptographic building blocks.

After receiving her BS, MS and PhD degrees from Bilkent University, Department of Mathematical Engineering, she completed her post-doctoral studies in France. He took part in the cryptographic design of many systems in the Department of Cryptology at BİLGEM.

He carried out System Engineering, Software Development and Testing activities in Republic of Turkey Identity Card, TRNC Identity Card and many H2020 European Union Projects. Within the scope of Tübitak E-ID Digital ID studies, it carries out Digital Wallet development activities.

He received his BS degree from Middle East Technical University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1992. He graduated from Istanbul University Institute of Business Economics in 1994-995. Between 1994-1996, he worked as a Project Manager at Belbim A.Ş. In 1997, with a friend, MedAr developed ERP packages for the Health Sector and the Production Sector. In 2004, Belbim A.Ş. also started working. As the Business and Project Development Manager, Akyolbil initiated projects such as Istanbul Card Transfer. In 2008, Belbim A.Ş. by leaving Bilgi Art Ltd. Şti.ni was founded. It received support among the top 100 projects worth supporting in the Young Entrepreneur program of the Ministry of Industry. He has realized various projects on smart building systems, Building Electrical and Electronic Systems, ERP applications in the construction industry. He started working at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM in 2018. It carries out business development studies for Blockchain projects, Smart card projects, E-Identity projects, PKII projects. He carried out coordination, business development and product management activities in important projects such as the 2nd National Blockchain Workshop and the Central Bank Digital Turkish Lira project. Since 2020, Master's studies on Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Deep Learning have been continuing in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Medipol University.
