He received his doctorate, master's and bachelor's degrees from METU Department of Mathematics. D. in group theory. He has about 20 years of experience in theoretical and applied cryptology. Between 2005-2021, he worked as a cryptology expert, information security expert and project manager in national R&D projects on the design, development and analysis of cryptographic algorithms and cryptographic protocols at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM UEKAE (National Electronics and Cryptology Research Institute). He currently lectures and teaches courses and trainings on Cryptology, Cryptographic Protocols and Information Security at National Defense University Alparslan Institute of Defense Sciences and National Security Cyber Security Unit and METU Institute of Applied Mathematics Cryptography Department. His research interests include cryptography, cryptanalysis, information security and cyber security.
