1st National Blockchain Workshop
The National Blockchain Workshop organized by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM UEKAE Blockchain Research Laboratory (BZLab) took place on April 2-3, 2018, at the Ankara JW Marriott Hotel. This event, which brought together professionals, academics, and researchers from both the public and private sectors, provided an important platform to shape the future of blockchain technology.
The workshop featured many internationally recognized figures in the blockchain and cryptocurrency field. Foreign speakers such as Dr. Peter Gaži (IOHK Research), Malcolm Lerider (NEO Smart Economy), Michael Herman (Independent Blockchain Developer), and Alexander Borodich (Universa.io) shared valuable insights on the future of blockchain technology and the significance of cryptocurrencies.
Blockchain technology was thoroughly examined in all its aspects. Topics such as blockchain and cryptocurrency usage in Turkey, the transformation of payment systems, legal regulations, technological developments in the industry, the rise of ICOs, and financial blockchain were discussed in detail by experts.
The workshop brought together various representatives, including blockchain technology providers, cryptocurrency exchanges, banking and financial institutions, financial technology companies, legal regulators, cryptocurrency miners, and investment experts. This diversity provided an opportunity for exchanging ideas on how blockchain technology can be utilized across a wide spectrum.
The event offered participants a significant opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the future of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
